Lykkers, do you love having greenery in your home but struggle with plant care?

Succulent plants might be your perfect match! We’ve discovered how easy and rewarding it is to grow these hardy, beautiful plants indoors, and we’re excited to share our tips with you.

Why Succulent Plants Are Perfect for Indoors

We love how succulent plants thrive in indoor spaces. Their compact size and stunning variety of shapes and colors make them a versatile choice for any decor. Since they store water in their leaves, stems, or roots, succulents are incredibly low-maintenance, which is perfect for busy households.

Choosing the Right Spot

Finding the right spot is essential. We’ve noticed that succulents love bright, indirect sunlight, making windowsills an ideal home for them. However, if direct sunlight is too strong, we use sheer curtains to filter the light and prevent scorching.

Watering Succulents the Right Way

One of the biggest challenges we faced was understanding how to water succulents. The golden rule is: less is more. We wait until the soil is completely dry before giving them a thorough soak. This prevents overwatering, which is the most common mistake with succulents.

Choosing the Best Soil and Pots

We’ve learned that succulents thrive in well-draining soil. Regular potting soil is too dense, so we use mixes designed specifically for succulents or create our own by adding sand or perlite. Drainage holes in pots are a must, as they allow excess water to escape and protect the roots.

Temperature and Humidity Considerations

Indoor environments can vary, but succulents are adaptable. We’ve found that they do best in temperatures between 60°F and 80°F (15°C to 27°C). Low humidity is ideal, but if we live in a humid area, we ensure proper ventilation to keep our plants happy.

Why We Adore Succulents

Succulent plants aren’t just easy to care for; they bring a sense of calm and beauty to any space. We love watching their unique shapes and vibrant colors flourish. Plus, propagating succulents is a fun way to grow our collection and share plants with friends!
